June 18, 2001 Purity of Teflon® PFA HP Safeguards Accuracy in Liquid Transfer Applications Upchurch Scientific® meets the need for ultra-high purity tubing and fittings in the analytical instrumentation and semiconductor markets with DuPont™ Teflon® PFA HP fluoropolymer. Applications for such components include high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), semiconductor-based analytical systems for pharmaceutical research, and fluid handling systems for manufacturing semiconductor microelectronic devices. “With freedom from contaminants and metallic ions down to parts per billion levels, Teflon® PFA HP is the perfect solution for the low-pressure sections of critical HPLC and other liquid transfer applications,” says Mike Bailey, vice president of sales and new product development at Upchurch Scientific. (0.79 to 6.4 mm) and IDs as small as .010 in. (0.25 mm). Molded components include nuts, plugs and stoppers for solvent bottles. Upchurch's flangeless fittings design avoids the need for flared tubing, greatly simplifying tubing connections and reconnections.
